Description: This dataset is part of an orthophotography project covering areas in and adjacent to the municipalities of Fort Walton Beach, Destin, and Niceville in Okaloosa County in North Florida. Color analog aerial photographs were acquired by Kucera, International over a period of nine days in February/March 2010. The fly dates were Feb 23-27 and March 1-4. The original film was scanned by Kucera with an unknown scanner at 14 microns. Aerial triangulation was performed by Kucera and delivered in ZI format. SimWright produced rational polynomial control (.rat) files for the source images from the AT solution using proprietary software. The source images were then ortho rectified using proprietary software and a digital surface model (DSM) that was previously used for a 2005 orthomosaic of the same area. Orthorectified imagery is assumed to depict features at ground level, so above ground features may show some distortion from elevation. The only exceptions to this are bridges and elevated roads, which have been checked for distortion and manually replaced by their previous unrectified versions. Each orthorectified pixel is exactly 3 inches square.
